Agnieszka Kolek, one of the Polish Women of the Year in the UK, 2013 edition

On 20th April 2013 at the Polish Embassy Marshall of the Polish Parliament, Wanda Nowicka announced the name of the Polish Women of the Year in the UK, carried out under the patronage of I Congress of Polish Women in the UK. Through an online voting system, with almost two and a half thousand votes, internauts chose Ms. Agnieszka Kolek, organiser and curator of Passion for Freedom London Art Festival. This prestigious and international event, held this year for the seventh time, by exhibiting the work of artists oppressed by regimes promotes freedom of expression and human rights. In her speech, Agnieszka thanked those who voted for her and wished the audience “Freedom for us all”.
